Services and Events

Our Main Services

Sunday Morning - 10.30am
Sunday Evening Communion - 6.30pm (First Sunday of the month only)

What happens in our services?

We have an informal service structure that includes singing, prayer, reading the Bible and a sermon. We use a mixture of modern songs and choruses plus traditional hymns. The children join in the first part of the service and then go through for Sunday Club, except for All Age services when the children stay in the church for the whole time.

Once a month we include in the morning service a short celebration of Communion, which is open to anyone who acknowledges Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Most services last around an hour and a half but All Age services last less than an hour.

Our services are not polished performances but an opportunity to meet together to worship God and to grow together as a church family. The atmosphere is friendly and informal with a number of different people participating in the service.

The words for songs come up on TV screens at the front of the church. Bible passages are usually read from the NIV translation and copies of this Bible are available in the seat shelves.

If you have special needs then we will try to accommodate you. The entrance to the church is level and there is room for wheelchairs. An accessible toilet is available at the rear of the building. Please contact us if you would like more details on what we can offer.

Dedication of Infants

As a Baptist Church we don’t carry out baptisms for babies or very young children (often called Christenings). Along with many other Christian denominations we believe that baptism should follow an individual’s own decision to follow Jesus Christ (often termed believer’s baptism).
However, we do like to acknowledge and celebrate a new baby or child in the church and we call this ceremony Dedication.
